REPAK®

REPAK® packaging joins Shorewood's line of "green" alternative packaging for optical disc products. It features a distinctive design for disc delivery with a recessed cavity that holds the disc securely in place without clunky plastic hubs or trays. The four-panel REPAK can be designed to accommodate the same number of trays as Shorewood's current Disc-Pack™.
- Tray options include plain white, flood-coated one color or custom printed, using either gravure or litho printing.
- Tray gluing is an automatic, one-step operation for disc insertion that saves energy.
- The CD-sized REPAK has passed loading and drop testing at several major replicators.
Flip-Pak

The Flip-Pak is an alternative package for optical disc products that is designed to be environmentally friendly. Its unique slide-out design for discs increases sustainability because it eliminates the plastic hub. Since the disc sits directly on the board it is protected from scratching.
- Suitable for music, home video, video games, and computer software releases
- Available in sizes for CDs and DVDs
PaperFoam®

PaperFoam® is a new packaging technology that is paper recyclable and biodegradable when composted. This environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic is manufactured in a patented, one-step injection molded process using a starch-based material. PaperFoam® is available in various colors and can be embossed and printed. It provides dust-free protection, scratch-proof product protection.
- Meets European compost-ability testing protocols from Organic Waste Systems (OWS)
- Comparable to ASTM's "Standard Specifications for Compost-able Plastics (D.6400-04)
- PaperFoam® CD trays and recycled board replace the standard jewel box made from crystal polystyrene (PS); The package is half the weight of a jewel box and the same quantity of product can significantly reduce transportation fuel costs and CO2 emissions
IP Everest® Safe-Pak (Picture) The Safe-Pak is a tear-proof fold-over heat seal blister package that is a greener and safer alternative to plastic clamshells. It encapsulates a plastic blister between two layers of renewable, recyclable paperboard
- Eliminates the need for a paper insert - graphics can be printed directly on the board
- Adheres to itself when heated - no extra adhesives required
- Child-resistant, meeting F=1 protocols of the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Equal Pilfer/tamper resistance compared to plastic clamshells, at a reduced cost
- Easier and safer for consumers to open, compared to all-plastic clamshells
- Strong seal to all common blister materials, including PET, RPET
