Our "green" checklist for packaging:
- Right-Sizing - Is the design lean and green?
- Renewable materials - Are the materials in the creative brief Recyclable? Recycled? Compostable?
- Can you get the same effect using recycled or recovered materials or renewable inks?
- Are all the components and layers in the package necessary?
- Can you design a package to reduce the number of components?
Our evolving "green" tool box for displays:
- An emphasis on creating smaller "footprints" in stores for displays
- A focus on source reduction - how can we cut down on materials?
- Elimination of permanent materials for floor stand displays and pallets
- A goal to eliminate the use of plastics
- PET and RPET have already replaced PVCs
- Incorporate innovative materials like PLA and PaperFoam®
