IP Krakow Team Celebrates Project Completion at Jozef Babinski Hospital
Dr. Józef Babinski Clinical Hospital in Krakow recently completed their “Garden for Seniors” project, which International Paper has been supporting financially and through employee volunteering activity over the last two years. The goal of the initiative was to renovate the garden area at the hospital in order to create a serene and beautiful space for their senior residents, enhancing their mental well-being. An official opening ceremony was attended by hospital staff and patients, along with local authorities and IP representatives.
IP has supported the project by funding such works as gardening, leveling the area, and paving paths to make the garden safely accessible for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users. Volunteers from the company’s Global Business Services Center in Kraków have been assisting with garden maintenance and planting new greenery at several occasions.
The Babinski Clinical Hospital is the largest facility in Lesser Poland specializing in the treatment of individuals with mental health disorders and alcohol dependency. Their focus is on providing comprehensive medical care and support for patients, promoting mental health and facilitating social and vocational rehabilitation.
International Paper has been working with Babinski Hospital for years to support the well-being of elderly patients. The collaboration is another example of how we bring our Vision 2030 goal of improving the lives of 100 million people in our communities to life.
